Browlift
A brow lift, also known as a forehead lift, is a cosmetic procedure designed to elevate the eyebrows, smooth forehead wrinkles, and reduce frown lines. It restores a more youthful, alert, and refreshed appearance by correcting sagging brows and deep creases across the forehead. This procedure is often sought by patients who appear tired, angry, or aged due to low or drooping eyebrows.
How is a Browlift performed?
A brow lift is usually performed under general anesthesia or local anesthesia with sedation. There are a few different techniques your surgeon may use based on your facial anatomy and aesthetic goals:
Endoscopic Brow Lift: A minimally invasive approach involving small incisions behind the hairline. A tiny camera (endoscope) and surgical tools are used to lift and reposition the brow tissues.
Coronal (Traditional) Brow Lift: Involves a longer incision across the scalp, hidden within the hairline. This allows for more dramatic lifting and repositioning.
Temporal or Limited Incision Lift: A shorter-scar option that targets the outer brow area.
After adjusting underlying tissues and removing excess skin (if needed), the incisions are closed, and the forehead is gently lifted for a more youthful look.
Post Browlift Care
Swelling and mild bruising around the forehead and eyes are common in the first few days after surgery. Patients are usually able to resume light activities within a week. Following your surgeon’s recovery instructions ensures a smooth healing process and beautiful results.
