Facelift Surgery

Facelift surgery, medically known as rhytidectomy, is designed to address common signs of aging by tightening facial tissues and removing excess skin—helping patients achieve a smoother, more refreshed, and youthful appearance. Our mission is to support you on your transformation journey with expert care and confidence every step of the way.

How Does Facelift Surgery Work?

The main two goals of this procedure are to move the deep facial tissues —medically known as the superficial musculoaponeurotic system (SMAS) — back to their more youthful positions and to remove excess skin.

Incisions are made in inconspicuous places, such as behind the hairline and in the natural folds of the face and ears. Scars fade over time to become nearly invisible.

When this surgery is performed by a skilled cosmetic surgeon, the results are dramatic yet natural. Our patients look fresh, rested and more youthful.

Post Facelift Care

Detailed instructions will be provided during your consultation and again after the procedure. After removing the dressings, the incision areas should be cleaned gently but thoroughly, and antibiotic ointment applied.

The dressing is then completely replaced, wrapping the neck firmly to maximize the improvement in contour.

After the incisions have fully healed, silicone strips should be placed over them to reduce the appearance of scars. These are available at our office or your local pharmacy.

Strictly adhere to all guidelines provided, including how to clean the incisions, when to take medications, and what activities to avoid. This helps prevent complications like infection or scarring.

Use extra pillows or a wedge to keep your head elevated for at least the first week. This helps reduce swelling and promotes better circulation for healing.

For at least 2–4 weeks, avoid heavy lifting, bending, or high-impact exercise. Also, protect your skin from sun exposure by wearing sunscreen and a wide-brimmed hat to prevent pigmentation changes in healing skin.
